Boston, MA (October 29, 2024): Embrace Boston, a leading Boston nonprofit focused on advancing racial equity, announced the addition of Yully Cha to their senior management team in the role of Senior
Vice President of Research and Policy and Senior Advisor. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, organizational strategy, and educational equity, Cha will help drive Embrace’s efforts to build a more inclusive and equitable Boston.
In her new role, Cha will oversee the expansion of Embrace’s Research and Policy division and spearhead strategic initiatives that align with the organization's mission of fostering a radically inclusive city. Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping research and policy strategies grounded in storytelling and community engagement.
Prior to joining Embrace Boston, Cha served as an independent consultant, guiding organizations through key growth initiatives, including new ventures, capital campaigns, and strategic planning. Most recently,
she has served as Managing Director of Philanthropy at Boston Schools Fund, Director of Strategic Initiatives at Codman Academy, and Executive Director of Bridge Boston Charter School, where she led a $25M renovation of its first permanent schoolhouse in Roxbury. She has also previously worked as CPO/COO at the Steppingstone Foundation and Assistant Dean of Admission at Hamilton College. Cha sits on the board of the Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE) and Bridge Boston Charter School.
Cha grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and she owes her love of reading to the public school and library down the street. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College, a master’s degree in business administration from Babson College, and a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard. She currently resides in Sharon, MA, with her family.
