At Embrace Boston, activations are how ideas meet the public. They transform civic spaces into living platforms for dialogue, celebration, and reflection, rom large-scale festivals and commemorations to intimate community gatherings and performances. Each activation is designed to move people from awareness to connection, turning shared moments into shared purpose. Whether honoring history, amplifying local voices, or sparking creative collaboration, these experiences embody Embrace Boston’s belief that belonging is built in public; one story, one gathering, one collective action at a time.

Harry Hom Dow didn’t just break a barrier, he opened a door that has never closed. The first Chinese American admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, he wielded the law as a tool of justice for communities the system was designed to exclude. Today, his legacy pulses beneath The Embrace, where he is honored as one of 69 Freedom Plaza Heroes.

Now we carry it forward. Join us for Embrace’s celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander civic leadership, a gathering of the community he fought for, honoring the trailblazer who continue his work.
