At Embrace Boston, activations are how ideas meet the public. They transform civic spaces into living platforms for dialogue, celebration, and reflection, rom large-scale festivals and commemorations to intimate community gatherings and performances. Each activation is designed to move people from awareness to connection, turning shared moments into shared purpose. Whether honoring history, amplifying local voices, or sparking creative collaboration, these experiences embody Embrace Boston’s belief that belonging is built in public; one story, one gathering, one collective action at a time.

Each January, Embrace Boston leads the MLK Weekend Celebration, beginning with Embrace Honors MLK, a gala recognizing civic leaders, artists, and changemakers advancing the Kings’ vision of a beloved community. The weekend continues with two of Boston’s most cherished traditions — the Annual MLK Breakfast and the Boston Children’s Chorus MLK Concert — creating a citywide moment of remembrance and renewal. Together, these events honor Dr. King’s enduring legacy and remind us that his dream lives on in the work we do, the stories we tell, and the communities we build.
