Tickets:

In the Early Bird Special, tickets to the Sneaker Affair and every day of the festival are included. The only event of the signature series you do not gain access to is the Juneteenth Embrace Honor Awards.

Multi-day tickets allow you access to all three days of the Embrace Ideas Conference, access to the Annual Juneteenth Concert, and the annual Juneteenth Block Party. The events you do not gain access to are the Sneaker Affair and the Juneteenth Embrace Honors.

Tickets will be sent to your email upon payment. If you did not receive your ticket, please reach out to communications@embraceboston.org.

Unfortunately, tickets must be bought through online registrations

Unfortunately, we cannot give refunds after payment has been completed. If you are no longer able to attend, we will donate your ticket to the community.

If you have purchased a ticket to the Sneaker Affair and are no longer able to attend, you can transfer your ticket to another person before close of registration on January 5th. After that date, tickets are non-transferable.

MLK Embrace Honors: Friends & Family Sneaker Affair:

The Sneaker Affair will take place at Big Night Live located at 110 Causeway St, Boston MA 02114

The most commonly used subway lines for reaching Big Night Live are the Orange Line and Green Line. If you’re on the Orange Line, you’ll want to get off at North Station. If you’re on the Green Line, you can take either the Green Line B, C, or D branch to get to Kenmore Station. From there, transfer to the Green Line B branch towards Boston College and get off at North Station.

Once you arrive at North Station, exit the station and head towards Causeway Street. Big Night Live is located at 110 Causeway St, Boston, MA 02114, which is within walking distance from North Station.

There are several options for parking near the venue:

  • West End Parking Garage: 25 Blossom St, Boston, MA 02114
  • Government Center Garage: 50 New Sudbury St, Boston, MA 02114
  • North Station Garage: 140 Causeway Street, Boston, MA 02114

Sneaker Affair attendees should dress in formal attire, accompanied with their best kicks!

The Sneaker Affair starts at 6:30 PM on Sunday, January 14th, 2024

Yes we will have coat check available.

All items brought onto the property are subject to inspection. All bags larger than 10 in x 9 in, backpacks, professional cameras, video equipment, and luggage are strictly prohibited.

There will not be a seated dinner, but food will be served throughout the event space.

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible and all guests requesting ADA accommodations should contact us at communications@embraceboston.org.

Your health and safety are our top priority. Our venues comply with all health and safety protocols established by Massachusetts and we advise that you visit CDC guidelines.

Embrace Ideas Festival

In case of inclement weather, the Juneteenth concert will be livestreamed on NBC.


The annual Block Party is rain or shine as tents will be provided for attendees. In case of lightning or other weather hazards, celebrations will be canceled in the interest of public safety.


Juneteenth Embrace Honors, and the Embrace Ideas Conference days are rain or shine!

Children of all ages are welcomed to the events of the Embrace Ideas Festival but they must be registered. We do not provide childcare services and they must be under parental supervision at all times.
